He further extended an invitation to the people of India to take part in major events set to take place in France this year, highlighting the Summer Olympics kicking off July 26. President Macron’s presence alongside Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant moment in bilateral relations.

Adding a cultural dimension to his visit, Macron experienced the rich spiritual heritage of India with a stop at Delhi’s Dargah Nizamuddin Aulia. During this visit to the sacred Sufi shrine, he spent time absorbing the tranquil atmosphere, underscoring the reverence for diverse cultural expressions shared by both nations. Macron’s attendance at the 75th Republic Day celebrations at Delhi’s Kartavya Path further strengthened the French-Indian partnership. Additionally, President Droupadi Murmu graciously received Macron at the Rashtrapati Bhavan with a banquet to honor his presence.

On a diplomatic level, discussions between Macron and Modi in Jaipur brought attention to global concerns, including the situation in the Middle East. The two leaders underscored the importance of maintaining freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and conforming to international maritime law, as mentioned in a joint statement. Their discourse on coordinating efforts in the region highlighted the strategic collaboration that France and India aim to continue to enhance their mutual interests and promote global stability.
