Google has sparked excitement with the introduction of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in an elegant mint green. The new shade, distinguished as ‘Mint,’ brings a light and pastel touch to the tech giant’s smartphone lineup. Matching cases and wallpapers are also available, complementing this fresh color that will feature on models with 128GB storage options. The Pixel 8 and its Pro variant already offer a sophisticated palette, including Obsidian, Hazel, and Rose, as well as Bay and Porcelain specific to the Pixel 8 Pro.

The Pixel 8 comes with a 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED screen, while the Pixel 8 Pro sports a larger 6.7-inch Quad HD+ OLED display. A Google Tensor G3 chipset with a Titan M2 Security chip powers both models and ensures 7 years of software support. Battery-wise, the Pixel 8 holds a 4,575mAh capacity, and the Pixel 8 Pro increases to a 5,050mAh, both supporting 27W and 30W charging respectively. The camera experience includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with features like Best Take, Magic Editor, and Audio Magic Eraser. The Pixel 8 adds a 12MP ultrawide lens, whereas the Pro extends to include 48MP ultrawide and telephoto lenses.

Conforming to Google’s environmentally inspired design, the Pixel 8 reflects an ‘energizing calmness’ and offers a ‘fresher version of you.’ Available exclusively through Google Store in the US and Flipkart in India, only the base 128GB storage model comes in Mint, compelling those desiring higher storage capacities to select from the other color choices. Pixel enthusiasts now have the chance to showcase their style with a touch of sophistication. Underneath its beautiful exterior, the Pixel 8 flaunts a robust Google Tensor G3 chip, efficient UFS 4.0 storage, and an impressive camera ecosystem comprising a 50-megapixel main camera with advanced Octa-PD technology and a 12-megapixel sensor with autofocus and macro capabilities. The front camera is a 10.5-megapixel shooter perfect for selfies and video calls. The phone ensures all day longevity with its 4,575mAh battery and fast charging capabilities.

The Pro version doesn’t fall behind, offering immersive visuals on its 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED display, reinforced with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It houses a trio of rear cameras capable of up to 30X Super-Res digital zoom and is powered by the same Google Tensor G3 chip. A hefty 5,050mAh battery supports longer usage, and its design merges glass and metal in a nod to its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Pro. Its unique skin temperature sensor, the Melexis MLX90632 unit, provides accurate readings beyond enhancing smartphone photography. With comprehensive features and sophisticated design, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in mint green are a testament to Google’s innovative spirit in the smartphone market as we kick off 2024.
