Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set for a busy two-day tour, commencing on Tuesday, with an agenda packed with inaugural events and foundation stone laying for various development projects spanning over the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra. His tour is scheduled to start in Kerala and wrap up in Maharashtra by Wednesday evening. Kicking off his visit, PM Modi will head to the Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC) in Thiruvananthapuram at around 10:45am. It’s here that he will inaugurate noteworthy space infrastructure projects totaling approximately ₹1,800 crore in development costs. These projects include a PSLV Integration Facility at Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, a new ‘Semi-cryogenics Integrated Engine and Stage Test facility’ at the ISRO Propulsion Complex in Mahendragiri, and a ‘Trisonic Wind Tunnel’ at VSSC. He will also observe the progress of the ambitious Gaganyaan Mission and present ‘astronaut wings’ to the astronaut-candidates, recognizing their status and contributions.

In the afternoon of the same day, Modi will address the ‘Creating the Future – Digital Mobility for Automotive MSME Entrepreneurs’ event in Madurai, Tamil Nadu at around 5:15pm. The Prime Minister plans to launch initiatives aimed at uplifting MSMEs within the Indian automotive sector, including the TVS Open Mobility Platform and the TVS Mobility-CII Centre of Excellence. On Wednesday, at around 9:45am, Modi will proceed to lay the foundation for infrastructure projects worth over ₹17,300 crore in Thoothukudi. His agenda includes initiating India’s first green hydrogen fuel cell-powered inland waterway vessel under the Harit Nauka initiative, dedicating tourist facilities at 75 lighthouses across multiple states and union territories, doubling the Vanchi Maniyachchi – Nagercoil railway line with costs around ₹1,477 crore, and inaugurating road projects accumulating to about ₹4,586 crore.

Marking the concluding leg of his tour in Maharashtra on Wednesday afternoon, PM Modi will address a public gathering in Yavatmal around 4:30pm. He is slated to inaugurate development projects exceeding ₹4,900 crore and will also roll out benefits under the PM KISAN scheme along with other initiatives. Modi will allocate the second and third instalments of the ‘Namo Shetkari MahaSanman Nidhi’, which amount to roughly ₹3,800 crore, benefitting about 88 lakh farmers in the state. Additionally, he will oversee the distribution of ₹825 crore in Revolving Funds to approximately 5.5 lakh women’s Self Help Groups. The Prime Minister’s agenda further includes initiation of the distribution of one crore Ayushman cards throughout Maharashtra and the launch of the Modi Awaas Gharkul Yojana targeted at OBC category beneficiaries. Other project inaugurations will feature irrigation initiatives aimed at aiding the Marathwada and Vidarbha regions, with expenditures at ₹2,750 crore under PMKSY and BJSY; rail projects worth over ₹1,300 crore; and a series of enhancements to the road sector. PM Modi will also take time to participate in a ceremonial closure of the ‘padayatra’ conducted by the local party unit.
