The recent superhero film ‘HanuMan’ starring Teja Sajja has been making waves at the box office, with its performance on the first Monday going beyond expectations. Directed by Prasanth Varma, the film began its journey with a modest start but quickly picked up the pace, thanks to the positive reactions and word-of-mouth it garnered. Seamlessly gliding through the critical first Monday, ‘HanuMan’ amassed a commendable Rs 14.50 crore, early estimates suggest, leading to a cumulative India net collection of Rs 55.15 crore. This surge also edged the film closer to the impressive Rs 100 crore gross mark internationally—remarkable for a small-budget film.

Surpassing giants in the industry according to the Monday numbers reported, ‘HanuMan’ eclipses the first Monday earnings of renowned films like Yash’s ‘KGF: Chapter 1’ which achieved Rs 10.60 crore and Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ with Rs 3.70 crore respectively. Indicative of its widespread appeal, the movie experienced an impressive 79.50% occupancy rate in Telugu and a significant 16.50% in Hindi on the auspicious day of Monday, January 15, 2024.

The cast is graced with talents such as Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer, and Vinay Rai, alongside Teja Sajja. The audience’s response is unequivocally favorable; with moviegoers demonstratively celebrating the film’s conclusion. Prasanth Varma publicly responded to the negativity faced by the team with an optimistic tone, expressing his appreciation for the audience who supported the film, believing in the victory of Dharma. This sets the stage for ‘HanuMan’ to climb even higher during the festive period of Sankranti, transcending any negativity.
